GCSE Mathswatch

Whilst I hope you are having enjoyable snow days, for those of you that are beginning to be concerned about the time missed with examinations looming these are a few things you can be working on

All those students taking unit 2 in March please refer to you homework booklets/revision guides for the list of topics that need to be covered. In particular, ensure that you able to competently complete all fractions calculations using the questions in the booklet or using sites such as www.mymaths.co.uk to aide revision and practice.

Students taking their final examination in June, whether that be linear WJEC or the final modular exam, should be starting to plan a thorough revision programme and completing 2 hours of revision per week in small manageable amounts. Help with this can be found on www.mathswatch.co.uk.
Students sitting the foundation examination will need to pay particular attention to fractions, decimals, percentages and simplification of algebra expressions.  Those sitting the higher tier will need to pay particular attention to sine and cosine rules, similar shapes and solving complex algebraic equations. They will also need to have a thorough knowledge of fractions and percentages.

Revision classes will start as soon as we are back in school and the timetable posted on the website.
