As you may be aware from September last year there were new regulations put in place with regards to examinations. I have enclosed a provisional timetable for School, GCSE, Entry Level and Oral examinations commencing November 2009 until June 2010.
Children have been issued with an examination contract, examination procedures, rules and regulations and a JCQ information sheet. If your child has not received any of these forms they can collect them from the main reception office. It is important that I receive back the exam-ination contract forms which must be signed by pupil and parent. Without this form your child could not be entered for GCSE /Entry Level examinations
Year 10 contract forms will issued in Assembly on Tuesday 29th September along with the other forms.
I must urge parents NOT to book holidays on dates of any examinations stated on the timetable, otherwise you will be penalised for these examinations which can range from £6.50 to £25.00 per subject/exam paper. If your child is absent due to illness especially in GCSE, Entry Level and Oral examinations a doctor’s note must be provided and brought to school as soon as possible so arrangements can be made with the exam boards.
